Being called to pastor the Church in the Cove is indeed a task of holy privilege. To share the words of Scripture with clarity, sensitivity and warmth while helping the people of this congregation fall in love with the Lord our God, are aspects of my work that I feel deeply passionate about. Much of pastoral ministry, I believe however, is simply about being an authentic witness; living humbly as a messenger of God’s grace in this world. Therefore I feel deeply honored to serve Jesus Christ as a pair of His hands and feet; walking alongside others through life’s many joys, celebrations, heartaches and challenges.
I am a native of Beverly, a graduate of Beverly High School, the University of Rhode Island, Andover Newton Theological School, and Children's Hospital Nursing School. I also attended Gordon College, where I met my husband, Bill. While all my formal education was of course indispensable, nothing prepared me for balancing the wide variety of needs in a congregation better than the years I spent along with my husband Bill, raising our four children, Sara, Tom, Katie and Dan, whom God has richly blessed our lives with.
If you don’t find me at the church, look for me deep in the woods with my three dogs!
