Greg is a native of Michigan where he grew up in a Christian home and attended Spring Arbor College. In 1990 he and his wife, Laura, moved to the North Shore to pursue graduate studies. While Greg was completing a Masters and Ph.D. in Philosophical Theology at Boston College, Laura worked in residence life at Gordon College and earned a MA in Counseling from Gordon Conwell. Greg spent 12 years as Dean of Chapel at Gordon College where he also founded the Christian Vocation Institute. One of Greg’s greatest joys is helping others gain new insights and deepen their faith. He enjoys communicating the truths of Christ in a way that helps others grow closer to God and experience greater freedom. Together, Greg and Laura direct the New England Institute on Faith, Work & Life helping others make vital connections between the Gospel of Jesus and their daily lives.
Greg and Laura have three grown sons – Nick, Josh and Eli – and live in Beverly where they can be frequently spotted sipping coffee in one of the local cafés, walking near Dane St. Beach or watching sunsets at Independence Park.
Greg has been worshiping and serving as Pastor at Church in the Cove since January 2017.

Amanda Lane and her family will be joining us as the new Director of Children’s ministry. In addition to providing administrative and volunteer support to the child-sponsorship programs of Compassion International and Manna 4 Lempira, Amanda has served in administrative and ministry capacities at Gordon College and another local church. Amanda brings her seemingly-boundless love of children and desire for them to know and grow in God’s love as well as a keen mind for details and the importance of sound practices to the position. Amanda’s husband Mike works as a special education teacher at New England Academy. They have two children – Cole and Jada.
Joe and Amanda Giacometti are no strangers to CITC, having become members in the spring of 2017 and regular attenders since December ’16. Both Amanda and Joe have years of experience working with youth in a variety of capacities including, for Joe, a seven-year stretch as the Associate and Youth Pastor of New Life Community Church in New Fairfield, CT. Joe and Amanda have already been involved with the youth of the church through teaching Sunday School, providing children’s lesson and special youth gatherings. We are blessed to have this dynamic husband-wife team leading our 5th through 12th graders. The Giacometti kids Isaac (6th gd), Leah (5th gd) & Eli (2nd gd), bring a lot of energy, creativity and good fun to their involvement in the Christian education program.
